"My name is Jewel Duke Eklu and I'm an artist. I was born in Accra in 1987. My friends describe me as kind, funny and outspoken. <br><br>
"I have always loved art and I'm happy to paint. I taught myself about first and then attended Ghanatta Art College. I had to practice constantly to master my art. I use dyes, brushes, canvas, clay and sand. I am inspired by nature, life experiences and children. <br><br>
"Starting on my own was difficult because I couldn't find people to buy my works and I wasn't able to find an art gallery to represent me. <br><br>
"My hope is to be able to use my art to teach, inspire, motivate and encourage students. My dream would be to build an art school some day."
