Striking Shibori

Showcasing a striking transition from azure to ivory, this cotton skirt from Thailand is created by Khun Pun. She weaves this skirt from cotton, applying the designs using the shibori tie-dye technique, where parts of the fabric are blocked off or knotted before being dyed. An elastic drawstring secures around the waist.
