Mayan Abundance

By Jorge Lopez, this necklace depicts an ancient Maya hieroglyph. Known as Kawoq, it is the turtle nahual that connects humans with deities. In Maya cosmology, Kawoq represents the strength of union, expansive conscience, and the development of the cosmic plan. It also symbolizes growth, fertility and energy for spiritual and material abundance. The bamboo pendant centers a black cotton cord that adjusts in length by sliding the knots along the cord.
