Peaceful Wat Chet Yot

Peace reigns over Wat Chet Yot in Chiang Mai, inspiring Oraphat to capture it in a black and white photograph. This Buddhist temple, built to resemble that of Mahabodhi in Bodhgaya (India), where the Buddha reached enlightenment features an eclectic architecture that incorporates Thai, Lao, Indian, and Chinese elements. Oraphat directs her lens to a flowering tree, where she focuses on three of the seven spires or chet yot. Printed on Fujicolor crystal archive paper, the photograph includes a card paper mat board.
