Confides Ghanaian artist Alex Mensah, 'A young girl from the northern region of Ghana migrates to the capital with the ambition to make it big. However, life hits her hard and it looks as if her dreams cannot materialize. She looks life squarely in the face and tells herself 'I will make it in life,even if I should start as a head potter.' Mensah paints this composition in an expressionist style to depict an African woman in vibrant colors.
