This beautiful Cubist composition is created by Samuel Attuah, as gifted a painter as he is a sculptor. The scene is of people dancing and drumming around a fire, which the artist says is a common evening pastime in West Africa. The flames seem to envelop the figures and their instruments, perhaps to convey the enthusiasm with which they play.
