Maya Skull Legend

'Legend tells of 13 crystal skulls that passed from the Atlantes to the ancient Maya. When all 13 are together again, they will tell the true story of our past and will transmit unimaginable wisdom to humanity,' Roxana de Papadopolo says. 'I wanted to create my own skull, even though it's not crystal. It reminds me of our mysteries and our heritage.' The Guatemalan artisan works in marble dust; black foam protects the base of this antique-style sculpture.
