Your Face

Inspired by themes of identity, Ghanaian artist Ed Franklin Gavua creates an expressionist composition in his characteristic style. He uses a wooden tool to apply black ink onto white paper. With a razor blade, he details the ink with fine white lines that add depth and detail to depict human forms that bend and weave through space in an abstract style. Says the artist, 'Your face means it is you and you are the one.'
